Albatur General Coordinator Kadir Batur Teoman: "Boutique Demand Trend is Rising on the Furniture Side"
Alişahin / Bursa
Exporting furniture sliding systems from Bursa to approximately 90 countries around the world, Albatur continues its investments despite the contraction in the domestic market, while continuing its efforts to become a brand in the field of sliding doors and door systems and developing its product range.
Albatur General Coordinator Kadir Batur Teoman said, "Despite the problems in the country's economy, we did not pause our investments. We implemented machinery and robot investments in our machinery park that will develop our product range. Currently, we are working in a single shift with a team of 106 people, but we are preparing our second line with robot investments to operate in 2 shifts if demand arises. We produce more than 12,000 products."
"A Contraction in Demand is Being Experienced in the Market"
Stating that recent events have also brought negative reflections to the furniture sector, Teoman said, "While we are experiencing significant contractions in the domestic market, exports are also affected by this situation from time to time. The decline in the construction sector continues, except for the earthquake zone. Abroad, rather than traditional large-scale purchases, boutique and custom design demands are rising, and this gives us the opportunity to offer more products and solutions."
"Turkey's Products are Preferred"
Teoman stated that "they made investments with equity and that branding efforts continue thanks to these investments." He used the expressions, "We currently export products to 90 countries, and along with the increasing population, we are preparing products in line with boutique demand."
Emphasizing that they work with a production-oriented focus and that Turkey's products are preferred in the domestic market, Teoman concluded his words by saying, "We have also carried out studies to collaborate on some products, but our main goal is to develop customer-oriented products. 45 percent of our products are export-sourced, and we mainly present our products to the USA, Hong Kong, Qatar, Portugal, and North African countries. These markets both improve our existing products and lead to new market expansions."
